We are so happy we found Ellen’s White Mountain Border Collies…. We had lost our dog of 16 ½ years and were heartbroken. Ellen was very sweet, understanding and kind. When I saw our Nicolina on Ellen’s Internet site I just knew she was “the one for us”… Nicky is very smart, sweet and such a cutie … Dealing with Ellen was wonderfully pleasant; she answered all our e-mails immediately… The only difficulty for us was waiting until we could get to Arizona to take our puppy home to Switzerland; Ellen made that easier by sending pictures and agreeing to keep Nicky until we could arrive to pick her up. I had the opportunity of having a border collie for 14 years before losing her and have been looking for another one for approximately 3 years. I made up my mind that I was not going to "settle" for just a replacement for my wonderful dog. Aggie is becoming an integral part of our family. She slept on my lap all the way home. When she gets tired of playing, she puts her head on my feet and rests. We are having such fun! Great purchasing my puppy at White Mountain Puppies. I really like the breeder and her family. They are all so fun and nice to me when I came to pick up my little Charley! Our little Miley!
We have really enjoyed our new little border collie, Miley. Our first 48 hours with Miley have been delightful. Ellen greeted us at the door with our beautiful little pup. We were so excited to finally meet her in person. Ellen had sent us several pictures of our growing puppy over the last month. It was so fun to see the changes in our puppy through the adorable photos Ellen sent us. Our phone and E-mail conversations were very helpful and Ellen answered all our questions. She is great to work with and it was really a pleasure to get to know her through the process of adding this beautiful little puppy to our family. We also met Miley's parents, Bandit and Magic and had a wonderful photo shoot with Miley and her mom and Dad.This was the best experience we have had in aquiring a puppy. I love my little puppy that I got from this breeder. She was very organized which I liked. I also liked the fact that my puppy was clean, healthy and very well adjusted. These kinds of puppies only come from well adjusted dogs and the people that look after them. Everything was explained to me what I wanted to know. Thanks for my wonderful puppy! The BEST!!
I really love this breeder! She is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions as well as my concerns. I just feel like she gave me the right start because my puppy was perfect from the start. My little "Marley" is the best little puppy, gives lots of love and I can tell she has been very well handled since birth. She adjusted so quick and is already potty-trained just after a few days!!! I had her shipped to my airport and she did just fine. I was worried about that, but my worries were erased as soon as my little girl walked out of her crate and gave me a big kiss and wagging her tail. Fantastic puppy!
My husband and I purchased Roxie from Ellen six months ago. We are so happy with the puppy! Roxie is everything I was looking for. She is so smart, lovable, and easily trained. Just wanted to send you a note about the two sweet little puppies Rick and I picked up on June 24th. As you know we named the one Coco and the other Elle. Both know their names and are so proud of themselves each and every time they do anything. The girls are doing great. We are nearly completely potty trained. This afternoon I take them to the vet for their next series of shots. Coco and Elle still sleep plenty, but are becoming more and more active during their “awake time.” When they are outside they just love to dig, smell everything and hop around like two little rabbits. They remain the best of friends and must be touching each other when sleeping. Rick and I love them to pieces and are so thankful to have them with us. Thanks again for everything.

I just wanted to leave a review to let others know that this is a very thorough breeder and that she knows her stuff. Very healthy and clean place where she keeps her dogs which is nice to know. They were all up to date on their shots and everything was in order and very thorough like I said. My puppy is so cute and so smart. She is already picking up on things. I love the temperment of all her puppies she had there when I picked mine out, it was hard to pick one because they were all very nicely tempered. You can tell this breeder takes what she does seriously and loves what she does! It's nice to know there are still people out there that does this sort of thing in the right way!!!

Couldn't have asked for a better experience/puppy
Not only was Ellen so understanding and helpful, but you can really tell she cares for all of the puppies. We have only had our puppy for one day, but thanks to Ellen updating us with his status and pictures, we feel like we have known his since the day he was born! Our puppy is already so well behaved that it is quiet amazing! He has a wonderful temperment and his markings are just beautiful! We traveled 4 hours each way to get our pup but we would have traveled even further... it was so worth it!

I am elderly and so I have purchased a few pups in my lifetime, but never like this. Remington is our world!
Living up North I was thinking I would never find a breeder close by. I googled Border Collies and up came her site. She was only an hour drive and well worth every minute. I feel in-love with Bandit's(daddy) picture and that was exackly what I was looking for. I found it... Remington is perfect. She looks just like her daddy and we couldn''t be more pleased. Pertfect Breeder Pertect Puppy
We found out about Ellen and her puppies from a friend whose daughter had purchased a JRT puppy. Having lost our 12 yr old JRT in Dec., we decided to check out the site and see what was available. Imagine our surprise when we found our "Bella" had her picture up and was 2 days old! After several e-mails and phone calls we sent our deposit and made plans to drive up to bring her home when she was 6 weeks old. She is truly Che Bella Bambina! If you are looking for the best Border Collie breeder, don’t waste your time any longer. You found one. Best communication, timely and very detailed website updates. Amazing variety of coats and colors. Once you pick your pup, you can almost see him/her grow. All your concerns and questions will be solved. Need more photos of your pick? You will never find another person that takes such good care & provides the most loving environment prior to adoption. She patiently & thoroughly explains any questions you may have. Due to issues beyond mmy control, I was unable to go to Arizona to pick my boy up. Ellen took the time to make sure that he was safely flown to North Carolina without incident (food, water & all paperwork necessary. She even attached a note to the flight crew with specific instruction for care - & she meant business!!!). To say the least, she went above board & exceeded every expectation I had. WE LOVE OUT NEW LITTLE GIRL!!! She was a gift for Christmas this year. We got her from White Mountain Puppies and she is a perfect little angel! Her name is Maggie Waggers and her coloring and temperament couldn't be more perfect. At 12 weeks old she is already able to sit, laydown, roll over, and play dead. I don't think I could have a smarter more loving animal in my life. She gets along with other dogs very well and loves playing games with us. A Jack Russell pup and three very happy boys!
I was worried about getting a puppy unseen from the internet AND about getting a Jack Russell, a breed I'd read about but never met, but after looking for the right dog locally for a month without success, I decided to risk it. When I saw my pup's photos it was love at first sight. Ellen was patient and informative both on the phone and through email, and after a week's wait and a very long plane trip to Alaska, the puppy is ours! Our 3 month old pup was tired from the journey but settled into our home immediately and started playing with toys and chasing balls. She is obviously very healthy and well cared for. So far she has behaved beautifully and is calm, affectionate without going overboard, interested in everything, and playful. She went to bed in her crate the first night, complained for about ten seconds, and then slept soundly the rest of the night. She is a gorgeous dog and we couldn't be happier. Wow, I can't say enough about this experience I just had in purchasing my puppy. I purchased him online with help from the breeder telling me about my cute little guy! He is everything the breeder said he was and more! Ellen, the breeder kept me informed of his progress in growing and then I finally received him when she shipped him to me. I was very nervous about doing on this through the Internet, but let me assure you, she is very thorough and very honest in all she does. My puppy came healthy because of the excellent care he was given by Ellen. You can sure tell he was socialized with and fed good and I was sure happy to know he was up to date of vaccinations and all of that good healthy stuff. If you are looking for a good breeder, you have just found one. I don't think she can be beat!!!!

| Mr. Tokey Fills Our Hearts
Our family have been filled with the love of a precious little guy by the name of Tokey. Tokey is about eight weeks now and is very observant. The other day I heard a banging noise in the kitchen where Tokey was napping. I walked into the kitchen and found Mr. Tokey awake and pulling on the cabinet handle where we keep his dog food. He has seen us open the door by the handle and fill his food pan from the cabinet. He was getting a little frustred pulling on the handle so I opened the cabinet and as he watched intently, I added a little snack to his bowl. Tokey recognizes his name, climbs up and down stairs, takes care of elimination on command when taken out on a regular scheule. White Mountain Kennel has exceceded our expectations. Their internet site and packet of information was very helpful in selection of out puppy and taking care of him. Tokey's energy, wit, and enthusiasm for the grandchildren have made him and excellent choice for out family.

2nd Border Collie - just as great as 1st
Oliver was the second border collie we purchased from White Mountain Border Collies. Ellen Slade, the breeder, took care of us throughout the entire process of selection through to checking up on us when the little one arrived. He's doing great! Spirited Madden Completes Our Family!
A wonderful experience,with our first contact with Ellen to picking up Madden, perfection, Ellen made you feel comfortable. She kept you updated on the puppy, as well as pictures! When we picked up Madden we were so pleased, a beautiful precious puppy, she melted our hearts! ..We have two other dogs a pomerian "Morgan" and a beagle "Maverick" and Madden has just taken over, she is so darn cute, she likes to sit on the other two! If the other two are drinking water she barks because they are in her way, she isn't shy with them. But when the neighbor dogs bark, she is in the house as fast as a bullit!..Madden is very healthy, Ellen had her puppy shots upto date, gave us a packet with a lot information regarding puppies and a small bag of puppy food. | Our Puppy Mustang Sally - Puppy of Bandit and Babe
Ellen has a very loving family. Her sons just adore and play with all of the dogs. Bandit has a wonderful demeanor, very calm and trusting; the perfect border collie. Babe is gorgeous, young, and spunky. We took our baby home and named her Mustang Sally. She is in perfect health and is quite the character. White Mountain Kennel is a great place if you want to buy quality dogs and want a great experience. Ellen and family are very nice and professional and VERY quick to answer questions. We sent our original email on 09/16/2008 and on 09/18/2008 we were already on our way from Los Angeles, CA (700 miles each way) to pick up our new border collie puppy. I was skeptical about purchasing a puppy through the internet but it was a wonderful experience. There were closer breeders for border collies near my home but i'm glad i took the drive to White Mountain Kennels!! Should I find the urge to purchase yet another border collie I will call Ellen first.

| Very Happy!!
We are very happy with Ellen and White Mountain Border Collies. We live only 3 hours away, so we were able to met Ellen in person before we made up our mind about getting a puppy from her (and that also allowed her to met us as well). The only bad thing was we had to wait, for we requested a red and white female. Our little Koko, now almost 13 weeks old, was born from the second litter Ellen was expecting. Shortly after she was born, Ellen sent us pictures almost once a week and kept in touch about the vet visits, so we got to watch our little girl grow. Even though Koko is just a puppy, she picks up on so much and is so smart, and then the puppy in her forgets the next. She took to crate training quickly, loves to go for walks and we started to take her hiking. We're so happy with our Koko, were keeping our fingers crossed about maybe getting another border collie from Ellen next year!

GO BANDIT GO.....
We are very impressed with White Mountain Border Collies. After owning 2 British born Border Collies that were part of our family for over 16 years, we knew exactly what we wanted. We were very skeptical of the American bred BC's especially their size. My husband searched on the Internet and discovered White Mt. Fantastic Breeder
We contacted Ellen in February 2008 long before our puppy was born. She kept us updated by e-mail regularly with projected litter dates. When our girl was born we were delighted with weekly e-mail and photo updates. Finally when the time came to get her, we met Ellen who provided us with a puppy that looked and behaved just as Ellen had described. She gave us a complete puppy packet with all of her shots and dates info. Our puppy is now three months old and a very smart girl. She has learned to do sit, down, roll, run, fetch, go to bed and put her toys in her little basket at the end of the night. We think she will develope into a great companion and agility competitor. We were very satisfied with White Mountain Border Collies and would purchase another from them again - if we ever get ready for a second one!

My new best friend.
I purchased my Border Collie from Ellen with White Mountain Border Collies on 29.July.2008 and couldn't be happier with him. He's the most adorable little guy! He's so smart and has a wonderful personality. I couldn't have asked for more perfect markings. If you are looking for the right border collie look no further. Ellen has the best looking border collies on the web. Being kind of shy about ordering a puppy from the internet, and taking about 4 weeks to do so. It was not untill I finally saw a well maintained web sight and I knew I was on the right track. Then talking with Ellen and having every question I ever needed to know about the breed answered for me I was sold. I got a great pup and I could not have been more happy with the outcome. White mountian border collie will stand by every pup the leaves there hands and ends up in yours as well. Great people, quick and easy too. We purchased a 9 wk old Jack Russell Pup from Ellen Slade.The buying experience was great; Ellen answered all of our MANY questions and provided all documentation that our Vet said that a good breeder should have for us upon purchase.Our Vet said that the pup was "in excellent condition...a fine pup" and said we did a good job finding such a good JR breeder.I would recommend this breeder again and we plan to buy another soon.We love our puppy! SMART and INTELLIEGENT PUP
I recently purchased a border collie from this breeder. This is the smartest border collie I have ever owned. I have owned several in past years but this one is exceptional! She is already potty trained, it only took two days for her to learn exactly where I wanted her to go and she is already playing flyball and fetching for me. These Border Collies are great. Mine was everything I was ever told and more. He is very smart and intellegent which is apparent from his pedigree. He picks up on things very quickly and I couldn't have asked for a better companion. Health issues are non existent with him being healthy and fully vaccinated.He is turning out just as the breeder predicted. The purchasing process couldn't have been easier with the dog being shipped directly to my local airport. The paperwork and other materials were easily accessible and was a stress-free transaction. Best Border Collie Ever!!!
I got a precious and sweet Border Collie Puppy this summer, and I can't be any happier!
